Board rules
BillBored is a public board. Everything you post can be seen by anyone, and what goes on chain stays there. These rules keep it safe and worth paying into.
What you can post
- A real bill that is yours: utilities, rent, phone, internet, medical, school, groceries, car, pet, baby, and similar living costs.
- The amount you actually owe, from $5 to $5,000.
- Up to three open bills at a time.
Cover before you post
Use the cover tool to black out your full name, street address, account and customer numbers, card numbers, barcodes and QR codes, and anyone else's details. Leave the company, the amount and the due date visible so payers can see what it is.
What gets hidden
- Bills with someone's private details showing (yours or another person's).
- Fake, edited or inflated bills, and the same bill posted twice.
- Anything that is not a bill: ads, links, coins, investment pitches, giveaways.
- Abuse, hate, threats or anything illegal.
The moderator can hide a bill (it can no longer be paid and its photo is not shown) and can stop a wallet from posting. Payments already made are not reversed: they went straight to the poster.
For payers
Bills are not verified. The X account behind a bill and any receipt the poster adds are there to help you judge. Pay only what you are happy to give away: a payment is a gift, and nothing comes back except credits.
Report a bill
Every bill page has a “Report this bill” link. Reports go only to the moderator.
